Pelican Point Power Station – Bypass Exhaust System Installation for Gas Turbines

Infrastructure Consulting provided engineering design and construction support services for the installation of a new exhaust stack at Pelican Point Power Station.

The project involved complex construction sequencing, heavy lifting operations, and foundation strengthening works within a live power generation environment, all delivered under a tight programme.

Infrastructure Consulting’s scope included:

  • Crane placement and heavy-lift loading assessments
  • Review and verification of foundation strengthening works for the new exhaust stack
  • Design optimisation to improve constructability and meet programme constraints
  • Engineering support for temporary works, including temporary restraints and lifting arrangements during installation
  • Civil Engineering; review, design and documentation of stormwater diversion to suit construction requirements

Our team worked closely with the construction team to provide practical, buildable engineering solutions, addressing temporary and permanent load cases, staged construction conditions, and site access constraints. Rapid engineering input during critical phases of the works enabled safe execution of major lifts and successful installation of the new structure.
